At the very least, we need to show what's being moved and where, and warn/give instructions for resolving conflicts.

This is my proposal for the UI you should see when you choose "Move Page" and a page has no subpages. It's got some notes in it about how I'd like it to work.
Attached my mockup of what I'd like the Move Page dialog to look like when the Move Page command is used on a page with subpages.
