From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9+) Gecko/20010504 BuildID: 2001050420 Mozilla doesn't handle some transparent gifs correctly and renders the background black. Also visible on: http://www.stack.nl/~stilgar/art/tuxdeswin.gif or http://www.stack.nl/~stilgar/art/linux.gif It doesn't happen with every gif,.. i'm not sure what is causing this. The last 2 mentioned gifs where created with the gimp. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Point browser at http://www.stack.nl/~stilgar/art/linux.gif Actual Results: Image was displayed with black background instead of transparant background. Expected Results: The Background should have been transparents.
looks like it works fine for me on the (some days older) build 2001043021 for linux.
I noticed it with older builds too but i decided to wait a few builds before reporting it. I didn't try the linux build yet.
Might have something to do with bug 77914. OTOH, works just fine on 2001032722/0.8.1 on NT4.
Sounds very much like it, wonder why it didn't show up when i searched the bug-database. Shall i mark it duplicate of 77914?
