Based on input , Nexus 7 is a big crashing device. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Notes/19-Sep-2012
Assigning QA contact and tracking it for 16 .Kevin has a device in MV and will be looking at this.

It's indeed the most crashest one, but maybe also the most used. Many crashes are caused by Flash which is no longer maintained even with stability fixes, many crashes are also caused by bug 756140 for those who have installed a custom kernel (not officially supported), and there's bug 774622 which is fixed in 16.0b4: https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/rkaiser/2012-09-18/2012-09-18.fennecandroid.beta.16.0.devices.weekly.html
The Asus Nexus 7 is the #1 device for Firefox Beta (8.11 %) but it is not in the Top 10 for Firefox (release).
(In reply to Mark Finkle (:mfinkle) from comment #3) > The Asus Nexus 7 is the #1 device for Firefox Beta (8.11 %) but it is not in > the Top 10 for Firefox (release). I disagree. It's also #1 top crasher in 15.0 with almost the same ratio (14.4% vs. 18.1%): https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/rkaiser/2012-09-18/2012-09-18.fennecandroid.beta.15.0.devices.weekly.html

I am talking about "top used devices" as reported by the Google developer console.

I think these users have installed Flash via http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774336 or similar method.
Many of the sites that don't contain Flash look to be using @font-face so the custom rom bug could account for a bit of this as well.
How can we find STR when people report different bugs (mainly those listed in comment 2, see https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/rkaiser/2012-09-19/2012-09-19.fennecandroid.beta.16.0.devices.weekly.html#dev-asus_nexus_7)? Big wins: * Bug 756140/bug 790139 * Flash crashes fix by Adobe, but no bug filed on their side even when there are STR
(In reply to Scoobidiver from comment #9) > How can we find STR when people report different bugs (mainly those listed > in comment 2, see > https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/rkaiser/2012-09-19/2012-09-19. > fennecandroid.beta.16.0.devices.weekly.html#dev-asus_nexus_7)? The keywords are just meant to formalize the fact that we should try to reproduce the URLs in Comment 6, in case there's any reproducible crashes here unrelated to CM/Flash, or uncaught by the crash reporter. > Big wins: > * Bug 756140/bug 790139 These are being highly prioritized by mobile engineering.
I've requested an N7 on order to also take a look.
Note these urls are from when the user submits the comment to Input and may have nothing to do with their crashyness. I have loaded all the URLs in comment 12 and have not seen a crash.
I've received a Nexus 7, installed Nightly (09/27) and Beta 16.0 build #5 (no Flash installed, and then with Flash installed) and was not able to reproduce any crash from an assorted selection of those URL's.

Note: Closing this bug does not mean we don't think crashes are happening on the Nexus 7. We believe there are other bugs filed that cover the explicit cases of those crashes.
