Summary: Luser Request: Command-line addressing of multiple browser windows
Perhaps there are logical and enduring reasons to deny this request, and perhaps
I am absurd in making it, considering that I type from the Windoze platform...
but:
I have always desired, while using this mutant OS, to wield a greater puissance
over the environment with the command-line. As such, I've this notion: Would it
not be helpful to possess the ability to open multiple instances of the browser,
and address specific windows (1, 2, etc.) with a command such as a URL? I might
expand on this blatant wishfulness, but I'd rather allow others to comment on
it's feasibility, first.
This request is somewhat related to Bug 4778, I should judge (although, as ego
compels me to add, it predates the reading of it).

Don -- I'm letting you have this feature request because it's much more related
to your work than mine.

Thanks Rick. This would be for us allright.
Sounds like a nifty feature. I'll talk to Radha about it ...

This feature could be very useful for applications that use Mozilla for online
help, e.g.
mozilla -browsername dummyHelp -chrome whatever -url myhelpfile
So that if the help window is already open, the url is opened into the same window.
