Looks like the preview images are too large for the window width. I suggest
making the container for the image hide overflow.

methinks the themes engr would be responsible for this...

likely fixed by ben --see bug 80392. need to verify [preferably] on at least the
3 main platforms with both modern and classic theme.

win32 talkback build 2001051604
This is NOT fixed. Preview graphic and Apply/Uninstall buttons are clipped on
the right side of the panel. Text may also be clipped on the bottom (can't say
for sure).

Ben says bug 19092 is fixed, so here are my comments from that bug on remaining
layout problems with the preferences dialog. They are *not* specific to the
themes panel, but Ben seemed to indicate that this is the appropriate bug to
address them.
On my Win2K machine with 2001052904, the themes section of the preferences
dialog is not quite right with 8pt Microsoft Sans Serif selected for message box
text and the Classic skin. None of the right-aligned controls have a
border on the right side. It appears that they're too wide and/or improperly
positioned, so the borders get clipped. The problem is worse with smaller fonts;
at 6pt, the Apply [theme] and Uninstall [theme] buttons are invisible, as is the
theme description text.
Other preference sections have problems with tiny fonts, too: the toolbar
selection list in the Navigator section has no drop-down arrow; the "When a new
message arrives" portion of the Mail and Newsgroups section is clipped on the
bottom. (This is not an exhaustive list, but a sample.)
Similar problems occur in the Themes section on the Macintosh with 2001052908,
though more of the content gets clipped than with the Windows version. (Being a
Windows guy, I can't figure out how to change the font size on the Mac, so I'm
using the default.)
I have a fix for this - and already have a dupe of this bug in : 82223 for
classic skin which also fixes the modern skin as well.
ben - may I take this bug?
since this bug has a smaller # than mine, I'd rather dupe 82223 and apply
my fix to this bug. sound ok?

I believe I can fix this for all skins. Reassigning to myself with Ben's
permission.

Not fixed for me: win32 talkback build 2001061520, win98se
17-inch monitor, screen resolution 1280x1024 96dpi. Screen shot attached
Oddly enough, when I change the Win screen display settings to use Large Fonts,
content is not clipped.
