(credit goes to Nicolas B. Pierron for showing me this) 1. At the notifications screen (drag down from the top). 2. Quickly tap continuously the wifi button. All sorts of weird behaviour can then occur. 3. Sometimes the Settings app appears after some seconds. Ok, that's fair.. 4. Repeat steps 1-3. Sometimes the dialer app becomes persistent on-screen. 5. Repeat again. This time add pressing and/or holding the Home button after everything. 6. Sometimes the screen that appears when you hold the Home button (the one where you can quit running processes) becomes persistent. See screenshot. The only workaround once this happens is to restart the phone. === My Git commit info currently shows: 2012-10-24 11:07:05 fcfa1857bed6596e992263206451c6814e4b2... (I see ellipsis at the end)
Hardware: x86 → ARM
The way Android does it is that on 4.1 Jelly Bean, they introduce a delay - after one taps the disable button, it shows "Disabling..." for a second or two. This might be an option.
