Hello, Like almost everyday, Firefox displays a dialog about a new version. In this dialog, I click the link “Plus d'infos sur cette mise à jour” (“More info about this update”). Firefox loads the page https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/16.0.2/releasenotes . Actual behaviour : Here is the problem : Firefox loads the update page in one of my open tabs, where I already had a page. And he does not even ask me. This is wrong. The browser infringes the user tabs. This can incur data loss, I can lose form stuff... Firefox does not respect the user. Expected behaviour : Firefox loads the update page in a new window. Firefox respects the user. Thank you for correcting that. Nicolas

I don't know, because I don't have the Firefox which had the problem at hand. Do you suggest that the behaviour I encountered is not the "normal" behaviour of Firefox ? If so, what is the supposed behaviour of Firefox ? Creating a new window ? A new tab in an existing window ? Nicolas

Nicolas, that is not the "normal" behavior. General behavior is one of the following: 1. open the link in the tab where you clicked on it (load over the page you clicked on); 2. open the link in a new tab/window. Opening it over any other tab is erred. In your case, it should work as in point 1.

I agree. > In your case, it should work as in point 1. I doubt that. There is no "page I clicked on". I clicked on the link in a dialog box, like this one : http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/3189/firefoxautomaticupdate.png And I have never seen a real Web page loaded in this little dialog box.
