Could be some docshell change regression? During playing with this I also experienced bug 807024 (I don't know how to reproduce that bug, though). (I have first noticed this at my friends flat when finding some site to order pizza some time ago, just forgot to report it.)

Also, at my friends flat, we were just not able to change the URL, URL of the still loading page was simply not changing. Not sure it is a different bug, probably not.
