Right now the tab sidebar on tablets is either shown or not shown. The use has to explicitly force it open and closed, and the UI janks around during each transition. We'd like to try a situation where the sidebar opens over content normally. Picking a tab closes the sidebar (similar to our currently phone setup). If the user explicitly "pins" the sidebar, we'll then resize content and not hide the sidebar (until its unpinned).
