- launch nav (5/16/01 build for me, mac)
- try to go to www.macconnectin.com (doesn't exist)
browser will spin for a few seconds, then lock up. the infinite recursion that
occurs blows out the stack and kills networking and/or the OS.
this is a beta stopper.

also reported in bug 81270. A hang and then a mozilla crash happens on Windows
and Linux too.
