Actual results: Two icons of the files to be attached have appeared within the "attachments preview window", then the message box "Attaching ..." appeared, however, it took very long time, so I've cancelled it (the Cancel button) and removed the icons in order to start the attaching process again. However, there are still both the "Attaching file ..." label and the animated progress bar on the bottom of the "Message Compose Window" and I CANNOT open the "Chose file to attach" Dialog Box. (It's more than 10 minutes now) Expected results: The files should be attached so I can send the message.
I've just tried to close the "Message Compose Window", the "Thunderbird is currently in the process of sending a message. Would you like to wait until the message has been sent before quitting or quit now?" message box has appeared. OMG.

I've done a couple of tests and: 1. When I attach one file, it's OK. 2. When I delete most of the original message (including signature file (with pictures)), I can attach/send two files as an attachment. NB I've not mentioned explicitly I was trying to REPLY to a message.
hawran, thanks for reporting. This problem has been reported by many users, so we already have some existing reports for this.

As I wrote in bug 817245, "Image location" of embed image in composing/editing HTML mail is shown like next, where nnn=Offset(local mail folder) or nnn=UID(IMAP mail folder). > mailbox:.../Inbox%3Ennn?part=1.2&filename=EmbedImage.jpg > mailbox:.../Drafts%3Ennn?part=1.2&filename=EmbedImage.jpg > imap://user-id@imap.gmail.com:993/fetch%3EUID%3E/INBOX%3Ennn?part=1.2&filename=EmbedImage.jpg > imap://user-id@imap.gmail.com:993/fetch%3EUID%3E/Drafts%3Ennn?part=1.2&filename=EmbedImage.jpg And, nnn=Offset(local mail folder) or nnn=UID(IMAP mail folder) of a mail is shown as "Order Received" column value by Tb. If you will see problem again, view "Image Location", check mail of Offset=nnn or UID=nnn which is pointed by the "Image Lcation" in mail folder which is pointed by the "Image Location", and check whether your problem is same issue as bug 453196/bug 817245 or not, please.
To bug opener, if your problem is relevant to "delete of original message" only instead of "embed image in HTML", read bug 453196 well. Is your problem same as bug 453196? If your problem is not relevant to bug 453196 and bug 817245, is you problem relevant to bugs pointed in bug 453196? (by comment, by dependency tree, by See Also:: etc.)
