Should remove downloads (by button or gesture) in the download panel also remove the file on the filesystem? The relationship between the downloads list and the filesystem is ambiguous. One use case is where the browser is used to gather useful files in the user's Downloads directory. Once downloaded and verified by the user the downloads list is just noise and it would be nice to clear it out - without removing the files we so carefully downloaded OTOH Metro does not currently offer any kind of file explorer or obvious way for users to manage and clean up files. Today, you need to switch to desktop mode and use Explorer to browse to the downloads directory. It seems the onus is on Metro Firefox to provide the user a way to clean up files placed on the filesystem.

If we want to just remove the ambiguity (without resolving the underlying "what should actually be removed/deleted" issue) we could call it "Remove from list" as in desktop...

I think by default the file should be removed with the item in the list. We should also add a flip switch in the options to control the behavior.

As we'll have no All Downloads view in v1, this is moot for now, I believe.
