Email headers not showing up in mail window

Details
Email headers are no longer appearing/observable in the mail window. I tried
switching from "View -> Headers -> All" and back to "View -> Headers -> Normal"
with no luck. They don't appear in the 3-pane view or when you open the email
in its own window. They're gone.
