RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 830913

People

(Reporter: brion, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:19.0) Gecko/20130103 Firefox/19.0
Build ID: 20130103042019

Steps to reproduce:

After updating my unagi test phone on January 17, I was prompted to update 3 applications:

* HERE Maps
* Prio Note (installed from marketplace)
* Wikipedia (my test copy hosted on ff.leuksman.com)

Actual results:

Download gets to "969.00 bytes downloaded", then eventually fails out with a "download failed" notification.

adb logcat shows:

E/GeckoConsole( 1002): Offline cache doesn't need to update, URL=http://xmarcux.github.com/prionote/prionote.manifest
E/GeckoConsole( 1002): Offline cache doesn't need to update, URL=http://ff.leuksman.com/WikipediaMobileFirefoxOS/app.appcache
E/GeckoConsole( 1002): Content JS INFO at app://system.gaiamobile.org/js/updatable.js:99 in anonymous: downloadError event, error code is INVALID_SIGNATURE

This appears to indicate that Prio Note and Wikipedia don't have to update anything, then an error is thrown. Possibly a failure related to HERE Maps?

Canceling the download shows me the same 3 update notifications again.

Selecting only 'Prio Note' and 'Wikipedia' to update hangs at "0.00 bytes" but doesn't produce the error message in log. Selecting only 'HERE Maps' to update finishes quickly, but shows the error message in adb log, and prompts me to update all three apps again.
Only selecting 'HERE Maps'

Expected results:

Either apps should update, or a clear error message should be provided explaining what failed.

Apps that did update correctly, or didn't require updates, should not be prompted to update again.
