STR:

1. pen up a page
2. hit control-shift-i to enter inspect mode
3. click on any element
-- inspector annotation is visible in the page for the clicked element
4. select "web console"
-- inspector arrow/doorhanger/whatever correctly hide
5. hit control-r to reload
** inspector thingy is visible, usually for the html element!
6. need to click on inspector tab and click away to get it to hide

If it's hidden, it should stay hidden on reload.
