Go button does not work on first click after typing in URL

Type in an url, then click on the Go button (if you have it turned on,
obviously). For me, nothing happens unless you click it again. It seems like the
focus isn't shifting immediately from the URL text box to the button. You have
to "deselect" the text box before hitting the Go button.

There was a bug reported concerning a link on a Yahoo page when clicking the GO
button but it was reported that the page was at fault.
What I see here is the same as what the reporter sees. When entering a URL and
the URL is not in the history drop-down list the blank list remains in view.
Hitting the GO button does nothing until the drop down list closes. Hitting the
GO button again resumes normal access to the URL.

Yeah, I did a search for all bugs concerning the word GO, and saw several web
search pages relating to Go buttons, but they're all Go as in "Begin Search".
This is the URLbar Go button.
Jay, correct. The URLbar drop down will be present, and the first click clears
that, THEN clicking the GO button will work.

so the current thinking says this is not really a bug - see jrgm's comments in bug 82494.
Nonetheless, the matter is being addressed in bug 66834. Marking dupe
