We should update the Complete Themes landing page per Bram's design: https://bug831835.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=703749 Starting in June, the featured add-ons board will select featured complete themes as well, so the updated design will help to showcase them.

Not really dependent on greater-percona, but I don't want to forget about this.

Rather than a large graphic for this page (because the content doesn't change as often as background themes), we should keep it as-is but maybe add a small call-out highlighting the featured complete themes. Open to suggestions...

What do you think about removing the large graphic and give more prominence to the 4 featured themes by displaying them side by side, horizontally across the box? The previous/next directional button would still be there, but moved to the left and right-side of the box. This way, each box could have a bigger size (is there an issue with generating a thumbnail of a different size than the size we use today?) and it could also feature the name/author of the complete theme.

I actually think that a large graphic would still work, especially with a screenshot from something like https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/nasa-night-launch/

kmag: the issue is it won't change often enough. Bram, I like the idea, but if we can stay with the current image size, I believe it would be easier to implement.

It doesn't change very often for personas either, and it's not as though there aren't plenty to choose from, even if there are fewer of them.

Attached is a mockup that keeps the existing feature box intact, removes the carousel (because there are less complete themes to feature), and adds a title text underneath each theme. We can feature a multiple of three themes. Would this be something that’s closer to what comment 2 had in mind?

I like it, but I don't think it looks great when it comes after the LW themes landing page. I think it makes more sense to use whatever graphic we're currently using in the smaller promo box there, with a similar carousel.

It's fastest to copy the background themes page and adjust for complete themes. That said, I the preview images are different shapes so either we use the existing squareish previews (which means time to adjust the landing page to those) or we create previews of a different shape (which means time to write/test/run a script) or we use the current shapes in differently shaped holes which is hacky and might be ugly.
