I've tried to configure Mozilla to send mp3 playlists to xmms (on Linux),
but it's too complicated.
With Netscape 4.x, you could just add stuff to .mailcap and .mime.types,
but that's not possible
It's easier to tell people to "add this to your .mailcap file to be able to
hear mp3 files" than to tell them the whole procedure of Preferences -->
Helper Applications, enter this and that etc. I think the new file format in
mimeTypes.rdf is worse than the old .mailcap file.
Also: What is the format for the command line that is defined for the
helper application? I would be able to click "Help" in the New Type form to
find out. For example; if I want to send the link to xmms,
should I write
xmms
or
xmms %u
or
xmms %s
(this syntax works in Netscape 4.x)
