We may be able to tie into Microsoft.Windows.Simulator.exe for touch interactions and easier default browser setup. To see how it works in general just create a new windows 8 app and change the Debug "Local Machine" drop down to simulator.

This is a great way to test touch on a desktop, the emulator has all the apps you already installed. You can run the emulator stand-alone, it's located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Simulator\11.0\Microsoft.Windows.Simulator.exe"
