Details
Completed downloads in the Library window show a button that allows the
containing folder to be opened, and double-clicking the item normally opens
the target file. If the folder or the file, respectively, doesn't exist,
the operation fails silently.
If the file or folder doesn't exist, the interface should show that condition
visually. For example, if the folder doesn't exist, the button to open it
should be hidden or disabled.
Changing the appearance of the items might require a continuous check in the
background, since the Library items may be visible while the files disappear.
Other solutions involve changing the item style or showing an inline error
message when the attempt to open the file actually fails.
If we check in the background, the number of concurrent existence checks
should be limited appropriately.

Should we dupe to bug 726451 instead of block on it ? This is basically the same meta bug.
