This happens on Linux too with 20010624, may have been happening for a while. Eg. If typing www.mozilla.org into the url bar causes it to narrow down to the one URL, pressing return will go there, but Typing www.foo.com completes to nothing, pressing return has no effect. Very anoying. Luckily pasting URLs onto the background of the window works OK.
