If the user wants to conserve battery/data, he/she should be able to disable push notifications using a toggle, and then enable it later.
Switching to power saving mode should also disable push.
This will need Gaia settings app fixes and l10n for leo. @kaze: adding you to CC list since I see you worked on the settings app. Nominating tracking-b2g18 since having a UI seems to be crucial.

UX should toggle the services.push.connection.enabled pref and NOT the services.push.enabled pref.

As far as I know, Our system has no push notification like iOS or android. So we don't have push mail service. But we have WAP push and data connection toggle. We also have power save mode. So I think these features are enough for saving power.

In that case, Push should be modified to watch for the device entering power save mode. Filed bug 931830
