If you delete this folder, it will erase your account. Reproducible: Didn't try
huh? on Linux ~ is your home directory so if you remove "~" linux is going to remove your home directory.....
Yes of course its the home directory. Obviously I know that. It just shouldn't appear in my folder list. It reappears by the way after being deleted. (Fortunately, I experimented with a test account.) Users that don't know that "~" is the home directory will get burned. Why does "~" show up in my folder list spontaneously?
Depends on: 86082
lol Sorry, but it's just kind of funny. Of course, if ~ does show up, that is definitely a bug that should be fixed. I'm an experienced user, but even I could see myself wondering why this file I didn't create was showing up and trying to delete it. Under what directory tree did it show up?

Hmm....can you tell me where you check "show all folders" option? I know if you 'uncheck' "show only subscribed folders" will display all the folders includeing unsubscribed folders, but even after I 'uncheck' "show only subscribed folders" from my Linux IMAP account, I still cannot find the "~" displays on the folder pane or on the subscribe dialog.... This bug shouldn't be an invalid bug since our client UI shouldn't display "~" on the folder pane or subscribe dialog... Anyway, since I cannot reproduce it, I am just marking it as verified. If you still can reproduce it, please reopen this bug. Thanks. Linux Build 11-19-08-trunk
