User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.31 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/26.0.1410.64 Safari/537.31
Steps to reproduce:
Environment: Unagi device, Build-Id 20130404070202
Steps:
- start here maps
- tap on menu button (top right corner)
- tap on About item
- try to scroll the about page
Actual results:
The first user interaction is ignored. After the user tries to scroll again the page is scrollable. It happens also in some other scenarios, e.g.
- start here maps
- search for something where you get a long list with results
- tap on list toggle right to the input field
- try to scroll the list with search results
The scrolling works perfectly fine in the browser on the device. We've investigated this problem for a while and weren't able to find the root cause. We'd appreciate some help from your side.
Expected results:
The user should be able to scroll the About page right away.

Is it possible to reduce this to an even smaller test case? For example, an app which has only a single button which pops up a long page which cannot then be scrolled?

Component: Gaia → Preinstalled B2G Apps
Product: Boot2Gecko → Tech Evangelism
Version: unspecified → Trunk
That's the problem. We've investigated the problem for a while and tried to narrow it down but the simple example (exactly the one you suggested) works fine. Even more. If we start the app with the About page immediately it also works. It happens exactly if you have the map open and then switch to a larger scrollable page and ONLY in the packaged app.
We would really appreciate some input from your side.
Thx,
Leo

Ok, so the problem does not happen even if you put the simple repro in a packaged app?

Ok, thanks for the info. I'm still going to try to reduce it to a simpler repo outside the maps app.
If needed I can attach the example I've worked with. Please let me know.

Yes, please do, even if it doesn't repro the issue.

I was able to repro this on build 20130426070204 using the instructions given in the first comment.
