I have set Google as the Search Engine and tried to make it Default. I even removed the other Search Engines from the list. But EVERY time I search, BING comes up. I do not want BING. I want GOOGLE. I have done this 100 times, yet BING continues to come up every time. Can we fix this? I have done your instructions over and over again, but BING still comes up instead of GOOGLE. HELP!
Could you please try the following, to see if you still reproduce the issue : 1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles 2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
It would also be helpful if you could explain how you are causing these searches to "come up". Are you searching from the location bar? Search bar? Something else. Listing the exact steps to reproduce the problem would be helpful.

I was searching from the location bar like I've always done. When I've searched before, Google always came up as the default search engine. But then a week or so ago, Bing started coming up instead. Yesterday I did Manuela's suggestion and made a whole new Profile, and now Google's coming up again, so the issue appears to be fixed. Thank you very much! Glad to know you guys are here! 8-)
