+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #853752 +++

We found a very tricky case under the manual download mode. When we're trying to delete the notification indication message, the message read count of the its belonging thread is not correctly updated.

This bug would affect the correctness of the thread view when receiving an MMS. Nominating for tracking-b2g18+. We need to land this into b2g18.

In order to make sure work gets merged to m-c more regularly, B2G patches should continue to land in birch. Please don't land directly on inbound.
