This worked when the layers refactor landed and has broken since.

This started for no reason over the past week.

I pulled again yesterday night, and now it doesn't seem to crash anymore.

I can't reproduce
 - with plain m-c
 - or with my patch queue

Using m-c 681bbf7717c1.
Seems to be back, possibly related to bug 868556.
