Compare Firefox Nightly 23.0a1 (2013-05-02) with Google Chrome Version 26.0.1410.65

Also reproducible with Firefox 20.0.
Chrome renders the SVGs like a champ. This is clearly a platform bug, but I'm not sure what's causing it. Background-sized-SVGs (such as the settings gear icon) appear fine though:

I don't even understand.

This is a platform bug and we should stop trying to hack around it.
Component: Consumer Pages → SVG
Product: Marketplace → Core
Version: 1.0 → unspecified
