Lots of menus/menu items disappear when a source window has focus

Details
(Keywords: platform-parity)
To reproduce:
* Select `View' > `Page Source'.
* Try to open a local file from the `File' menu, or access a bookmark from the
`Bookmarks' menu, or open Composer from the `Tasks' menu.
What should happen:
* You can.
* The menus for the source window are identical to those for a browser window,
just with inapplicable/unimplemented items grayed out (and with `View' >
`Source' changed to `View' > `Page').
What actually happens:
* You can't.
* The relevant menus and menu items have mysteriously disappeared from the
menu bar.
* If the source window is the last Mozilla window you have open, you're stuck.
Problem occurs with:
* Build 2001062105, Mac OS 9.1
Problem does not occur with:
* Internet Explorer 5.0 for Mac OS* iCab pre2.5.1

You're not stuck. You can go to File -> New Navigator Window. Seems to me like
that's what you should do if you want to do any of the things you mention.
Especially since you closed all the other navigator windows, and this isn't
really a navigator window anyway, it's just view source window.

chatted with doron about this: this is expected on win32 and unix, but on mac
all the menu items should be there, with unused items greyed out. [i hadn't
realized that.]

Reproduced in 2002022708, Mac OS 9.2. `File' > `Open File...', `File' > `Quit',
the `Bookmarks' menu, the `Tasks' menu, etc are all missing.

Aside from menus being disabled I'd love to know why some of these are inactive
to begin with.
Specifically the loss of the Window menu is really bothersome. I could probably
make an argument for having the Tools menu around also (for javascript console &
dom instector access), but loosing the Window menu is pretty rough. It means I
have to find a normal navigator window and click on it before I regain any
interface to find the navigator window I really want. This goes for both the
list of open windows as well as the ability to switch windows via the keyboard
(cmd-1). I find it strange too that open source windows are listed (and
numbered) in the window. I'd hate to see them pulled from there, but I do think
there needs to be some consistancy. So /please/ find a way to put it back.
(I can provide all sorts of screen shots if noone handling this bug is on a mac,
OS X specifically)

Any update on this? Just running through some old bugs i'm cc'd on and see no
response in almost 9 months... dropping some of these menu items makes some web
development tasks a real pain in the ass

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.

In 1.1.6 on 10.3.9 when the view source window is active after first opening browser and CZ windows, there is a window menu like on other platforms -> WFM
In the file menu while view source window is active, open file is missing, but to me that's perfectly sensible. Likewise, there is no bookmarks menu while the view source window is active, also perfectly sensible to me.
