Description: If the user inserts a locked SIM into a leo device and goes through FTE, No SIM PIN alerts appear. SIM PIN is disabled but the cannot be disabled. error appears on the lock screen that says "unknown SIM state". Repro Steps: 1) Updated to Leo Build ID: 20130524070209 2) Go through FTE SIM Card. 3) After FTE, shut off the phone and insert the locked SIM. 4) Restart phone. 5) Notice how the prompt to insert the SIM PIN does NOT appear, go to the dialer and attempt to make a call (since the sim is locked the user will be unable to but no error or alert appears) 6) Go to Settings 7) Select SIM Security 8) Try to disable SIM PIN (notice the message that says "unknown SIM state") 9) Notice that the switch is greyed out. Actual: Prompt to enter SIM PIN never displays upon powering on the phone and the user is unable to do basic functions such as making a call because SIM PIN is locked and cannot be disabled. Expected: User is able to power on phone with locked SIM, unlock and disable the SIM PIN. Which AU was used for this test? There was an issue recently regarding SIM NCK not showing up and was fixed in AU_LINUX_GECKO_ICS_STRAWBERRY_V1.01.00.01.019.116.

Mozilla triage recommends not blocking, but this isn't an obvious decision and our we'd like partner input.

Can we get some confirmation on the question in Comment 7?

bhuang - I am unable to provide the AU used because we do not know of a way to obtain it. If you could please provide me with steps to find it, I can most certainly share that information.

Not reproduced in Build ID: 20130526070207 and AU_LINUX_GECKO_ICS_STRAWBERRY.01.01.00.019.108. Atfer settings FTU and rebooting, Enter SIM PIN prompt displayed.

Fixed in AU_LINUX_GECKO_ICS_STRAWBERRY.01.01.00.019.105 and later.
