[1] has lots of information, but they are both difficult to find and somewhat obsolete now. Any chance we could have the notes in [1] updated, and on the IDL instead of in an attachment on a bug ? Thanks ! [1] https://bug760065.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=732217

Good point! I'll update that data in the IDL. Basically, the IDL is still not a formal place to guide the usage. We should make everything up-to-date on the Wikipage.

FxOS/Gonk has been removed from the codebase. Mass-invalidating FxOS related Device Interface bugs to clean up the component. If I incorrectly invalidated something, please let me know.
