Details
The origin property as defined in bug 852720 allows a privileged or certified packaged app to define it's origin.
Example origin: app://marketplace.firefox.com
Note - The one app per origin rule still applies here.

Also, it might be good to mention that the marketplace review team will probably not let you choose app://facebook.com unless you verify that you are Facebook (and verify the marketplace review team is aware of their new duty).

Is this going to be for 1.1 release or later? Or is it in 1.0? I need to know when to work on it.

It's only supported on 1.1 or later. Not supported on 1.0.
