Default font size of Japanese mono font is 16 but this is not good for Macintosh 'Osaka'. I will attach screen shots.

I took the screen shots on MacOS 9 JA. I think this is a localizability issue, add l12y keyword.

the font size pref is currently in all.js. Maybe we want to split them into platform .js ?

I found other problem. The current default faces for Japanese, "Hon-Mincho" and "Maru-Gothic" are not included in MacOS 9 JA. As a result, "Osaka" 16 pt is used for propotional default which has the same quality problem as the mono case. We can either change them to "Osaka" and make it 14 pt, or select actually existing fonts of MacOS 9. MacOS 9 JA has, "Osaka", "ChuGothic", "HosoMincho", "HeiseiMincho", "HeiseiKakuGothic". I think "ChuGothic", "HosoMincho" are bitmap only others are TrueType.
I am going to change to use "HeiseiMincho", "HeiseiKakuGothic" and the default size to be 14.

i verified this bug on Mac trunk build 07-03-10 and with default "Osaka" font size set to 14 the page look good
Marina, please also check that default serif is set to "HeiseiMincho" and default san-serif is set to "HeiseiKakuGothic" and the default size is 14.
I checked Marina's machine. Font names are also changed and the size is 14. So, it's working as I intended.
