The asynchronous JavaScript API for downloads, currently in development, can already be tried out experimentally by add-ons and Mozilla products, but there are already some planned changes and new features that will require changes or additions to those consumers. This bug tracks remaining changes that affect the consumer interface.

The interface is now complete, and is documented at: https://developer.mozilla.org/Mozilla/JavaScript_code_modules/Downloads.jsm We may still evaluate minor changes if required by other feature work or requested for new use cases, but the general download mechanics are defined.

I can confirm that after the changes done and mentioned in the documentation, the downloads current functionality is working as expected and has not regressed. Is there anything else I have to test for this fix?
