We've been discussing this extensively on various email threads. I'm not going to dump it all into the bug now, but this is a placeholder for the exception-handling work that needs to happen for de-cxification.

This is part of an ongoing project that I've been working on for a year now. I initially marked the dep from bug 877896 because it looked like one of those "sometimes exceptions are squelched" bugs that are near-impossible to fix without fully rewriting this stuff. But if it's just about printing stacks to the logcat, I don't think this needs to block.

Duping this to a bug that fits better in the current ontology of work.
