Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010628
BuildID: 2001062815
In the Privacy and Security/Images section of the Preferences window, I have
selected 'Accept All Images' and 'Alert me before downloading an image'.
The URL provided above includes several images from various servers. One of
those is from the server 'rcm-images.amazon.com'. As is expected, during the
first time this URL is loaded a dialog appears asking 'The site
rcm-images.amazon.com wants to load an image. Do you want to allow it? (I leave
the 'Remember this decision checkbox checked.)
Unlike for other images, this dialog remains in place after I select either the
'Yes' or 'No' buttons on it - no matter how many times I click either of those
buttons. The only way that the page will continue to load is if I close the
dialog with the 'X' close icon in the upper right corner.
I don't know if this is initiated by broswer issue or something odd with the way
that this amazon server is responding to the broswer, but in any case the
browser should handle the situation more effectively.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to load URL above with Privacy and Security/Images preferences set to a)
load all images and b) alert before loading an image.
2. When the dialog for the server 'rcm-images.amazon.com' appears, select either
'Yes' or 'No'.
3. Note that dialog does not go away, but remains until close 'X' icon is selected.
Actual Results: Image alert dialog persists after Yes or No option is selected.
Page does not load unless dialog is closed with 'X' icon.
Expected Results: Dialog should go away after 'Yes' or 'No' option selected.

I'm unable to reproduce (win NT) either a crash or a failure to close a dialog.
But I did encounter several cases of multiple dialogs being open simultaneously.
That's a known modal dialog issue that we've had for a long time and there's
probably some bug assigned to danm to cover that.
Since I can't reproduce this, there's nothing much I can do here. But if the
problem still exists, it's probably a modal dialog issue, so reassigning to
danm.

'Aler me before downloading an image' is set, opening new page. Dialog pops up,
but is almost instantly covered by (empty) browser window. I have to minimize
browser window and again restore that window to get dialog visible (and continue
loading page). Build 2001062823 (0.9.2), Linux, X4.1.

A very similar problem occurs with the same site ('rcm-images.amazon.com') in
the Mac versions, both for Mac OS 9 and for Mac OS X. In the Mac OS 9 case, the
alert cannot be dismissed with either yes or no, and in the Mac OS X case, the
sheet cannot be dismissed, same thing.
