Steps to reproduce:

A pixel is missing in the picture of the Passcode Lock(right to  the number "1").
This is not a hardware problem, I took a screenshot to show the image defect.

This pixel suppose to be a period? on others phone this is the recorded messages...
Is confirmed in Alcatel 1.1 retail version (moivstar/alcatel) and Keon build 20130802051218

I think this is resolved by new visual refreshing. Maybe you can check it again and we may clean some old bugs.

NI Omega to leave UX opinion, whether we should modify the spec or close this bug won't fix.

Here are some comments from UX side:
1) "1" doesn't need "." visual hint.
2) Each visual hint (like "ABC", "DEF") should be under each number (like "2", "3"), not next to.

See bug 983043 for the latest spec. (P.15 of UX spec, P.3 of visual spec)

Check Keyboard visual spec on Bug 983043 "Pin Code layout on Lock screen"
The pad size and UI spec should follow "Pin code" layout. (please look at visual spec p.3 p.4 for more detail)

Noted: There's no "." next to "1"

Since we need some visual change for lockscreen PIN keypad as specified in bug 983043 which would also deal with "the dead pixel", this bug will be solved in bug 1041449 for the specific job.
