Is there any update on this issue? It is currently the #2 plugin topcrash on Release accounting for 12.94% of all plugin crashes in Firefox 25.

Long story short, it's hairy. The crash is the result of a fix for another crash, but we have not been able to identify a way to fix this crash without re-introducing the crash it fixed. It's still open and assigned, but it's competing for time with other high-priority issues.

Maybe it is good time to try fix this crash: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?product=Firefox&signature=F1398665248_____________________________#tab-sigsummary in last 7 days we can see lot more off this crash, happen on YT and entering F11 as well.
I get the same error on the German news site focus.de:
1. Go to [1]
2. View the video in full screen
3. Wait until the video end
=> Flash will crash with the pure virtual function call.

* NVidia driver version: 9.18.13.4052

I think this bug is also related with: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/list?product=Firefox&signature=F1398665248_____________________________
which is #1 FF plugin crasher for ages.

Your driver version is out of date. Please update your graphics driver to 344.16 (this is the latest) and retest. Also, note that Adobe is aware of this issue but has not found a complete solution (see comment 5).
Thanks

We have no solution at this time. It's a bug in Flash that Adobe is aware of but I'm not sure what their status is apart from what they've indicated in comment 5.

Have encountered the problem when switching to full screen display.
A solution is to change Adobe Flasplayer Settings to disable hardware acceleration. Do this by right clicking on the video, selecting Settings and removing the check from Enable hardware acceleration in the Display setting.
I don't know whether this will have any other impacts on playing Adobe Flashplayer videos - haven't seen anything so far.

Still happening with FF 38.0.5 and latest Flash version 18.0.0.160 but see how the same crash has changed its signature:

This has been a topcrash signature for *all* Firefox versions for a couple years. Unless there's some new actionable information I don't see a point in tracking this for Firefox 40.

I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
