What problems would this solve?
===============================
We have issues where because obsolete pages are not really obviously about obsolete information, people try to make use of their content, sometimes to extremely bad end.
Who would use this?
===================
Hard to say; any reader unfortunate to stumble upon old material that's not useful in current browsers.
What would users see?
=====================
I'd like the page to have a light red background, something obvious but not so bold you can't read the content at all. I'd also love for there to be a warning icon (perhaps the Font-Awesome icon-warning-sign icon) as a fixed backdrop behind the text, as a faint but visible watermark. That would not scroll with the page as it scrolls, so it's always present.
Perhaps we could even do something like put a stripe down the edge of the text area with a label "Obsolete" in it? This would make it even more helpful and descriptive.
What would users do? What would happen as a result?
===================================================
If a user stumbled upon an obsolete page, they would see a page with a background that helps make it very clear that there's something special about that page.
Is there anything else we should know?

Ali and I met to discuss new requests today. We decided to wrap this one into the redesign.

Is this still an issue? Sheppy: can't you use kumascript to add a message to the top of the page if the page has a given tag? A different background all together is far to drastic.

One of our specific requirements is to make it possible to see that an entire page is obsolete, even if you've scrolled down to the bottom (or have followed a link to the middle of a long article). That means either using a special background or having some kind of indicator along the entire side of the page, or in the sidebar.
None of those things are currently possible in KumaScript, to my knowledge.
