Thunderbird 25.0a1 (2013-08-05) LDAP is working: if I go to address book, click on the ldap server and do a query I get correct results. However, if I address a new email to someone that is in LDAP but not in my local address book I do not see lookup results from ldap, even though my Tbird is configured to do so, and it works in the current production thunderbird.

Presumably this doesn't affect Thunderbird 24. If so, then I would suspect the switch of LDAP to the toolkit autocomplete interfaces likely to have caused this.

I don't recall testing this in 24, and my last Tbird is current release 17.x (works in 17), so no clue where this stopped.

No, we're not currently.
