I can reproduce this on Windows 95 OSR2. Reproducable: Seems to be very near 100% on systems where it happens at all, but does not happen on every system. I have thus far been unable to isolate anything that can be done on a system where it does not reproduce to make it reproduce. Steps to reproduce: 1. Download and install Mozilla 0.9.6 or the latest nightly build. Exit Mozilla, including QuickLaunch. 2. Go to java.sun.com and download and install the Java plugin. Open Mozilla and check the About Plugins to verify that the Java plugin was installed for Mozilla (about data included below). 3. Go to games.yahoo.com, log in, and select any game. I specifically tried Dots and Pool, but I believe it is the same for any of them. 4. Click one of the #stayhere links to select a room. Expected Results: Applet should load. Actual Results: A new window will open, which will say "Wait 3 minutes for applet to load. If applet fails to load, click here". Below that, "Click here to get the plugin". If you wait three minutes, and if you click "if applet fails to load click here", nothing additional happens. Other websites may be impacted also. For example, the superfluous, annoying, ubiquitous fphover applet (found, for example, at www.ogs.org) does not load for me either. About Plug-ins says this: Installed plug-ins Find more information about browser plug-ins at Netscape.com. Additional Notes: This used to work for me. I don't know when it stopped working, because I don't use Java very often. I do know that using an earlier Mozilla version, in which it used to work, does not solve the problem. I also am fairly sure that I had not upgraded my JRE between the time it last worked and the time it stopped working, unless maybe installing an upgrade to the commercial Netscape build did so for me. This would lead me to believe that the problem is at Yahoo, but then I discovered that other applets, e.g. the fphover one (which has surely not changed) also don't work.
