When I use mouse for Metro Firefox, cursor can not be seen over scroll-bar region. It can be seen on arrows ( up ^ and down). In Desktop Firefox, I can see arrow on arrows as well as on scroll-bars region. See video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93eEErN2Vvo&feature=youtu.be

I'm actually having trouble reproducing this even after I tried revision 87c1796bc46c. Is anyone still seeing this and are there any other str, Samvedana?

(In reply to Marina Samuel [:emtwo] from comment #3) > I'm actually having trouble reproducing this even after I tried revision > 87c1796bc46c. Is anyone still seeing this and are there any other str, > Samvedana? Hi Marina, I am still seeing this issue. I tested it for vertical scroll-bar. Cursor can not be shown on vertical scroll-bar region excluding up and down arrows. I have Microsoft surface tablet. Let me know if you need any other info.

I'm unassigning myself for now since I still can't reproduce it. Would we be able to get more information on str. Perhaps hardware details or anything else about when it is/isn't reproducible? Thanks you!

I can reproduce this issue on other tablet too. Please find the attached system info. Tested on following build to confirm that issue is still reproducible on the latest nightly. User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; Win64; x64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 Build ID: 20130821050136 Built from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/b2486721572e See video for more information: http://youtu.be/7NLTQG0MPNw

Removing the css we had in place to hide the cursor when touch was enabled fixed it. Magically, the cursor still hides when you touch, but I couldn't find any code that was doing it. My guess is that windows cordially does it for you.

Went through the following "Defect" for iteration #16 testing without issues. Used the following build: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2013-10-17-03-02-01-mozilla-central/ - Went through the original test case described in comment #0 without any issues - Played the video and ensured I couldn't reproduce that issue - Ensured that the cursor doesn't disappear when using the scroll bar after going to the Windows Metro window then returning back to the browser - Ensured that the cursor doesn't disappear when using the scroll bar after sliding the Desktop from the left and then sliding the Browser back from the left - Ensured that pressing the "Windows Key" and then returning back still showed the cursor correctly when using the scroll bar - Ensured that whenever "touch" is being used, the scroll bar & the cursor are removed and not visible while scrolling via touch - Went through all of the above test cases in both full & filled views without any issues Basically tried all those combinations using both touch and the mousepad (so the scroll bar would appear) and never lost the cursor once.
