Can you elaborate on this? There are no spaces between keyboard keys at the moment, just visually.

If the "visual" space between keyboard keys would be avoided, it would allow to visually enlarge keys and improve accessibility, user experience.

I see (sorry was on PTO so missed the bugmail). This is in the plans for the next visual refresh of keyboard. See bug 929361.
