From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:0.9.2) Gecko/20010628
BuildID: red hat 7.1 Mozilla 9.2
I generally use the gnome desktop and use Rhppp dialer.
In case I start Mozila first and then start my rh ppp dialer, then
Mozilla does not surf the net and neither does it get mail messages.
Reload does not work retyping the web page name (www.xxxxx.com) does not work.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Mozilla 9.2 and press OK on the web site www.mozilla.com not found
2.Start RH ppp dialer
3.Now you click on refresh, start mail and do anything to use the internet and
find that nothing works
Actual Results: No connections no mail
Expected Results: No connections no mail

Actually, this turns out to be fixable in a different bug.

benc: which bug is that? And are you saying that this is a valid bug? IF it is
should this be marked new?

This is obviously a bug in Mozilla. A user on a dial-up connection should be
able to start mozilla when not connected to the net and then start surfing when
he's connected. It's as simple as that.

Marking NEW. If this can be solved by a different bug, then this can be open
still and dependent on the other bug. Benc: gonna keep us all in the dark? :)
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I think that the fix to bug 64857 will resolve this, its really all part of the
same underlying problem.
