This may be a Eudora problem, but on 2 win2000 systems, when I click a link in a
eudora e-mail, a dialog pops up with the title "choose program to open <url>".
However, the page in question will load properly in Mozilla.
I have not extensively tested other e-mail clients. Mozilla's own mail client is
fine of course. Pegasus does not appear to handle links properly at all.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open eudora, find a mail message with a html link
2. click the link (the link url is irrelevant, so long as it is http)
3. mozilla loads the page, but the dialog also appears
Here is a system summary: win2000 sp1, eudora 4.3.2, mozilla 0.9.2
and win2000 sp2, eudora 4.2, mozilla 0.9.2 (both build 2001062815)

Reporter: I can't reproduce your problem (using Eudora v5.1). Please try a more
recent build.

Reporter:
There are a few DDE bugs fixed since 0.9.2.
Can you try a newer build (as Alex Bischoff suggested) ?
Thanks !

I get the same problem. Win2k 20010728 and Eudora 5.1
When I click on the link, a mozilla window loads the url, and Eudora pops up a
windows dialog asking to select the program to use to load the url
Links open properly in OE5 and from the rest of windows

Adding CC
This is the same problem as reported in bug 59078 (and elsewhere). In some
situations, stray empty entries in the registry cause applications to think
attempts to open URLs have failed. Sometimes they issue additional requests
(resulting in extra Mozilla windows). Sometimes (as in this case), they prompt
for how to deal with it.
The suggested fix in bug 59078 (removing registry subkeys) will probably work
here, too.
