The contents can us an important title hierarchy. In the redesign, the rhythm between h2, h3 and h4 titles is not strong enough therefor reading a content can be quite confusing when there is a lot of titles. As an example see: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/WifiManager It's pretty hard to make the difference between different level of title.
The current typographic scale for titles is follow a regular typographic scale, but a tritonic scale could be better in that case. see: http://spencermortensen.com/articles/typographic-scale/
What's currently used is consistent with the MDN "sandstone" theme. Copying Sean Martell in to answer your concern.

h2 and h3 are too close, we can't launch in beta even that way.
I mean "even in beta". That may be ok for a blog, doesn't work with the MDN.
Sean, can you make H2 more prominent and different from the H3?
