DEFECT DESCRIPTION:
 After first start of v1.1, popup with updates appeared with following apps:
 1.Accuweather
 Here Maps
 Marketplace
 Wikipedia
 
 After clicked to update these apps, follwoing message appeared "error occurred while downloading".
 This problem concerns only GSM/UMTS network, on wifi connection, all updates ends with success.

This sounds more likely to be a networking bug more likely than an apps API bug. Nothing in the log specifies anything about the apps API hitting an issue (which if we did hit an issue, I'd expect it to happen across networks).

Not really. The problem with the bug report here is that this really isn't actionable - app update issues if they occurred are network independent, not dependent on the network. If this is specific to the network, then we need a lot more information on general connectivity with the network during usage on the phone.

Network-related issues specific to app updates seems weird.  Are there other network-related issues or is it specific to app updates?  Potentially related:  bug 909080.

We used to have issues with bad network conditions where package downloads were just hanging up and not triggering any error, but this is not the case here. I tend to think that the app update code is ok, and that we lost the gsm data connection somehow, either bug 909080 or some other reason. Do we switch data off if the device turns off the screen for instance?

Can't reproduce on 1.2 - marketplace updates just fine.

Without a clear way to reproduce and the happy path working, I'm closing this out as incomplete.
