User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.11 (Beta/Release) Steps to reproduce: browser.search.suggest.enabled, false browser.search.update, false just click into searchbar Actual results: firefox make many unwanted connection to the selected search engine Expected results: no connection should occur till the search button in pressed.

How did you monitor that there was network traffic resulting from the search bar?
