What devices did you test? Still need to know what build you tested this on.

The same behavior is happening with my LG Fireweb (Brazil). When I tap the "Message" button for a contact imported from Facebook, a new window is opened with Facebook's mobile page with the "Page not found" error.

This isn't our bug, it's a problem with the contacts app, which we don't maintain.
Afaik, directing a user to "https://m.facebook.com/messages/thread/{target_friend_id}" should get you the behavior you're looking for.

Removing off tracking bug as this is a contacts app bug, not a TE bug.

So, why am I having this problem with my LG Fireweb?
Model: LG-D300f
Software: D300f10d
OS Version: 1.1.0.1
I'm receiving "The page you requested was not found." from "https://m.facebook.com".

because LG Fireweb has not been updated yet to v1.2. But the bug is solved (in v1.2 and so on).
