White background with shallow links enclosed in a very bright background makes the use of the menu uncomfortable.
I have no bad sight, but it literally makes me sick: I have the impression of a quick flickering when focusing on the menu items.
Maybe some background (light grey, or light orange, or ...) would be enough to solve this effect.
